Dear friends and supporters,
After more than two years of relentless effort, the moment we’ve been preparing for is finally upon us. The Planning Committee of Brentwood Borough Council will consider the controversial R16 site proposal at its meeting on:
Tuesday, 16th September 2025 7:00 PM Brentwood Borough Council Chambers
This meeting will be live-streamed and accessible via the Council’s website:
https://brentwood.moderngov.co.uk/ieListMeetings.aspx?CId=409&Year=0.
You are encouraged to watch the live stream—but if you can, please attend in person. Your presence speaks volumes.
We Will Be Heard
We are proud to confirm that R16 Brentwood and Pilgrims Hatch Action Group is registered to speak. Our representative will have just 3 minutes to make our case—no slides, no handouts, no questions allowed. But our voice will be clear, firm, and unwavering.
We understand that local councillors from Brentwood North and Pilgrims Hatch will also speak on this issue. Their support is vital—but so is yours.
This Is What We’ve Fought For
Since May 2022, we’ve battled uphill against a proposal embedded in the Local Development Plan. It’s been tough. But your support has been tougher.
You’ve signed petitions. You’ve submitted objections. You’ve donated, fundraised, and stood shoulder to shoulder with us. You’ve shown what a united community can do when it refuses to be ignored.
Now We Need You One Last Time
This is our final chance to show the Planning Committee that we will not be silenced. That this community values its green spaces, its integrity, and its future.
We urge you to:
- Attend the meeting in person if you can
- Watch the live stream
- Spread the word to friends, neighbours, and local groups
Let’s pack the room. Let’s flood the stream. Let’s make it impossible for the Committee to ignore the voice of Brentwood and Pilgrims Hatch.
Thank you for standing with us. Let’s finish what we started.
